Black Velvet – 2 lb Mystery Diners Signature Dark Roast

The aroma from the beans after grinding them is amazing. Once the coffee is made, I don't add anything to it so that I can enjoy the full flavor.
It's my new favorite coffee.

I’ve tried a lot of dark roasts over the years, and Black Velvet quickly became one of my favorites. Bold and rich like you’d expect from a dark roast, but what stood out to me is how smooth it is. You still get that deep, smoky flavor and full body, but without the harsh bitterness that a lot of dark coffees have.

It also smells incredible when you open the bag! You can tell it’s quality beans and roasted well. I’ve been brewing it both as drip and French press and it holds up great either way.

If you like a strong coffee that still goes down smooth, this one is definitely worth trying. It’s the kind of cup you actually look forward to in the morning.
